Excellent, indeed! I remember, when I was a young boy, this was a car everyone was proud of driving. It simply represented class and style of the one driving it. I love it, I love the way it's preserved and how the chromed batten on the car side look like, and specially - the rims. They're soooo shiny! ;)

Is there any way we can take a peek in the inside of the car...? :)

By the way, I forgot to tell you - Welcome! :)

Well the color is original 1978, I have a stamp under rear panel with company color description and no. ( spring green ) Umfortunately, somebody damaged it by key or something so left front dashboard and cowling is scratched to steel :? It happened before christmas ..... Now it is only protected against rust, I will have to purchase color mixed acc. to sample ( fuel tak cap ) and repair it ....... well more pictures can be found on http://forum.ladaklub.com/viewtopic.php?t=2929 .

My Father was driving that car and he said that 2106 is the best car of all Lada's. And i believe him because he crossed ex Yugoslavia with 2106 milion times with minimal maintenance Oil and all that stuf...

HURA: same question we have in our country ? What´s better ? I, as owner of 1,6 l engine, say that 1,6 rulezzzz :D In fact, 1,5 should be better for sport style drive, 1,6 is like diesel engine. Once I tried to measure acceleration, 0-100 km cca 16 sec, on LPG. I used only speedometer in the car, so I stopped the timer at indicated 110 kmh cos Lada cars are known for their "optimistic" values of speed :)

Well, provided that instrument is o.k. there must be some little mistake cos instrument should show real speed if car has original tyres 165/80 R13 but i have 165/70 R13 :D Well, when I run around radar - sometimes, in our country you can see small "billboard" which shows you your speed, - it seems that my instrument idicates 10 % , maybe 15 , more than real. But I heard that those road public radars are also not accurate........
