a couple of questions
Gentle mans here is my problem. I have a 2101 1200cc and is a good car. it doesnt take too much gas what is good cause now is expensive. I use it just to go to the university , but know im trying to power up the engine a little bit,
darkmen told me to do a couple of things like change the valves and replace (the valves) for a bigger ones to be specific Opel 1.8. Opel parts are quite rare here in Peru. We have tons of japanesse cars. Europeans not too much.
Could you help me with other options .
Another friend told me to use a new camshaft (from Lada Niva) and adjustable camgear. How possible is that .
I need details to repair the engine cause i need to repair it anyway but i like to obtain more power and unfourtunately i was unable to find information about what to do and how to do it .
Well that´s it i hope somebodu can help me

easyest option is to just swap engine for a bigger one, 1.5 or 1.6 or even 1.7 from niva. any rear wheel driven lada is the same as far as the engine mounts and drivetrain. don't think you'll find any parts for tuning 1.2 in peru. there's a lot of those parts in russia, but it'll probably cost too much. fiat engine is also an option, there are some models that require very small modifications to fit into lada

Re: a couple of questions
There are many options how to make a Lada engine go beter than stock, but for that you must have experience and equipment to work whit.bikeraqp wrote:Gentle mans here is my problem. The best option to make a 1.2cc stock run better and have a lil better start is to jet your carburator, and put the electronic ignition.
If you can find a 1.7cc or 1.5,1.6cc from lada, you can take the djape's advice (if it's legal to do the transpalantation
And yes,
IF YOU CANT BUY IT,
BUILD IT!
IF YOU CANT BUILD IT,
LEARN IT!
SO YOU CAN BUILD IT,
TO ROLL IT TILL THE WHEELS FALL OFF!!!

And yes, there is option is to put turbo on 1.2cc, as i know from my lada friends from estonia it runs better than 1.5cc stock
but this tipe of work requires a lot of knowledge.
The crankshaft of 1.2cc is very thankfull whit turbo.
About replace the engine. yep its ilegal unless you do all the papers and other stuff, but the bigger problem will be to find another engine
Serzas you say something about jet the carburator. What it means?.and when you say electronic ignition you talk about an electronic distributor or a electronic module to power up the spark .if you are talking about an electronic distributor could you tell me what brand ?.
Yep i dont have too much knowledge about engines but i gonna learn and yes i would love to install a turbo to kick some ... you know
Could you tell me waht i need to do to install a turbo on my 2101
starting from the basic stuff
Thanks brothers
Juan Francisco
Ohh i just forgot to ask something the other day cleaning my distributor and i found something that the vacuum hose (Thanks again darkmensale) that goes from the distributor to the carburator is not working or is not conected in the right place, i mean i dont know in what part of the carburator conect it. The distributor is working fine but the carburator is not sucking. or i just dont know where to conect the hose into

is correct?, it must be conected here?
And Serzas, whats is the objetive to do this
